I whipped up this freebie for my little
nuggets turkeys last night. I would love for you to grab it for your own students or children. I just LOVE how DIFFERENT they turned out. Each & every headband has their own little personality. I made three different options to choose from. I copied some feathers on different colored construction paper & even offered my old feather patterns to trace onto scrapbook paper.
I needed to make a sample & the girls & boys asked where the chevron paper was. Uh-oh. I couldn't let them drool over my chevron & not share. Since I have been cleaning house for our big move, I thought I'd pull out some & share. Grab your freebie HERE:
Every student except two picked the flower & peace sign strip. I REALLY wanted them to pick the others. If they would have, I was going to let them use watercolors. Too late...wah! They had so much fun making these & took home the rest of our copies to make their families a headband.
Another tradition I have is for the students to make vests to wear for our Thanksgiving Day feast that is hosted by our home-school association. It's really a fabulous event where parents get to come to school & volunteer throughout the lunches. It's HUGE! The kids absolutely love it & so does the staff.
Here are some of my favorite vests............
